ANUVAM wishes you all the best for 2025, with the realization of cherished projects, good times and beautiful encounters.
At the start of this new year, things are hotting up with our Nepalese friends. We were just about to send the funds for the purchase of materials to renovate the dispensary floor and probably a first instalment for the school’s famous toilets, when Yadav asked us to postpone all this for about 2 months, as they don’t have the manpower available at the moment.
And what’s more, climatically, it’s a bit tight. Duly noted.
But here goes.
We’ve been contacted again by someone interested in carrying out a mission. Our operations don’t allow for this kind of operation, but we’re keeping in touch and have invited this person to come and meet us at our AGM.
Speaking of the AGM, it will take place on Saturday May 17 from 9am to 6/7pm at Châtel-Montagne, on Vincent and Sarah’s land. We have booked a 10/12-seater gîte1 for the nights of Friday 16 and Saturday 17. A few extra beds are available at Vincent and Sarah’s place, and the meadow will remain available for campers. So we’ll need to get in early enough to know if we need to book anything else.
The very next highlight will be the arrival of Dilu, who will be welcomed by around ten of us and with whom we’ll be working on a possible redeployment of ANUVAM via the trek through his agency.
This will also be an opportunity for Evelyne to give us news of Bibi Raï, Dilu’s brother-in-law.
