Au Népal, un Village, une Amitié en Marche (A village in Nepal, a working friendship) is a recognized association of general interest (under French Law, 1901) that was created in 1995 by a group of trekking friends after discovering Nepal and its inhabitants.

The association focuses on the village community of Basa Rapcha, which is in the east of Nepal, in the district of Solukhumbu.

The links established between the French guide Marc Lubin and the Nepalese guide Pancha Kumar Rai during numerous treks were given shape by the creation of this association.

The objectives of the association concern the following major directions:

  • Participate in a reflection on the future of a village community with respect for its traditions
  • Support development actions in consultation with members of the community
  • Establish and develop friendly relations and other forms of exchange for better mutual knowledge and understanding.
